My stay at this hotel was ok on average in view that it is well located in central London but I will not stay here again. The Continental breakfast included in the price is a joke involving a fight over a table with two types of bread and some orange juice. I didn’t bother to queue for the coffee.
However the worst part of my stay was collecting my luggage from the luggage depot at the hotel. The hotel assistant saw me from a 20-metre distance attending to my luggage (I was unlocking it to retrieve something from inside). Rather than walking closer to me to see what I was doing he was extremely rude and shouted out, in a very aggressive manner, that I should not remove the hotel luggage tag from the luggage. He obviously presumed I was some luggage thief! A professional hotel staff-member would have walked closer to see what I was doing, before hurling out such an aggressive and insulting remark!

bit noisy because the buses and taxi’s for the hotel guests are parking exacly under the windows (hotel has a courtyard). If your room is on the other side (road side) I think it’s more quiet. That’s the only minus point. Price/quality is perfect!! Tube very near and the area is very nice with shops etc. (24 tesco!)

Breakfast was breakfast, not very delight, very basic, you get a meal. Crowdy at breakfast, you could pay for english Breakfast. Room clean, get a room away from main street a little noisy. Rooms possible inside de the square. central placed very near russel tube station.

everything was pretty ok (for the price which you paid), except for the quality of the breakfast.

Huge hotel. Very busy. Difficult to sleep due to noise outside. Need to get up early to get some breakfast in the crowded restaurant. However, close to underground (Russel Square).

Friendly but unknowingly staff. I was sent to the wrong building to find my room (600+ rooms) and the lobby staff also directed me in the wrong direction, when I asked where at the hotel I could put my suitcase for a few hours on the day of departure. Strange, when one should expect houndreds of people to ask just that every day.

Later on the first day I found out, that the check in note had a room plan/map on the reverse side! I felt stupid to have used 20 mins to wander around to find my room, but the staff could have told me about the plan. Bad service in my opinion. Because of the looks on the faces I met during my search, I know that I wasn’t the only one lost in the big hotel.
I’ll be staying there again because of location though.

Stayed here twice. Second time the room was way too hot and no way to change room temperature.

Big hotel with over a thousand rooms. Good location with tube just across the road and the British Museum very nearby.

It’s a Hotel with a great location for someone that wants to visit London without car (near Russel square tube station and city tour bus stop). However, it is a little bit old (specially in furniture and bathroom) and quite massive (over 2000 rooms) which might originate somes problems at the check in and at breakfast. I’ll recommend it to those who seek an hotel with an average quality in terms of comfort for a reasonable price

The room was clean and adequate but this is a fairly large hotel that when we were there hosted several tour groups consisting of teens apparently without a lot of supervision. There was quite a lot of noise late at night in the hallways and a lot of yelling out the windows that faced into a central courtyard. Aside from the noise, the price was reasonable and the location was good for being close to a tube station and within walking distance of a variety of sights including the British Museum.

clean, cheap, central. endless hot water and the quickest, most efficient checkin/out I’ve ever seen. All the facilities we needed, and terrific value – why pay more for fancier decor?!

If this hotel could only improve its service and friendliness by about 200%, then I would stay here again, as the hotel location is great, the rooms are ok, and the hotel provides good value for London. But do not expect a smile, a friendly face, or even the time of day from the staff members. Maybe they are overworked/underpaid, or maybe they are just too busy, but C’mon guys-a smile after a long international flight would be a real nice welcome to your otherwise good hotel.

The hotel is very good situated in the centre of London. The nearest underground station is about a seven minutes walk from the hotel. You can also walk to the British Museum from the hotel.
The rooms are very noisy, but I slept well.
Breakfast wasn’t very extensive. We only had a very small continental breakfast with some bread and marmelade/ jam. That’s all.
I was happy with my stay here, but next time I would book another hotel.

Noise is a problem if you want to rest. Beds could be more confortable but they are quite hard and small all over Europe.Location is good, very close to a tube station,with direct way to Heathrow International for just 4 GB pounds. Thanks!

Hotel is in a great location. Situated really close to British Museum and underground which makes it really easy to get anywhere in the city, location so good you can really walk to several places from there. Also added bonus is that many tours have a pick up service for tours from the hotel and they have a place to make any tour or sightseeing bookings during your stay.
